On the 13th of May, CommNet Education organised an e-Seminar for students aged 14-16 and their teachers and invited the AMIGA consortium to give a presentation related to its research activities. Dr. Bert Lotz from Wageningen University and Research Centre led the seminar entitled: “Opportunities and challenges for using genetically modified crops for sustainable agriculture: the potato case”. Questions from students were related to the sustainability in agriculture, the impacts on the environment and the current debate in society on GM crops.

Positive feedback has been received during and after the webinar, which has been rated as very interesting by participants. In addition, the session aimed to students with insights into career opportunities in scientific and technological research in Europe.
